This is my Mouse on a log sculpture.
I have always wanted to make this, as I would lay awake and keep seeing this in my mind. Features a to scale mouse ontop of a "sawn" stump which includes inlaid bronze growth rings.
The stump also has a single mushroom growing from what would be a dying tree stump.
The mushroom has Bronze highlights too, as does the mouse with his bronze eyes and nose.
This piece has been lacquered and has a furniture protecting pad underneath.

140mm high
120mm deep
Other peices may differ slightly as these are not built to a drawing or plan, but how they are expressed at the time of making. I do like to make the mice slightly different each time to keep each piece a little unique.
Even though I do my very best to protect the steel from rusting with lacquer, this is only temporary. I have learned from many people in the paint industry, that even with the best preparation, rust spots and lines will still form under clear coat lacquer. I beat myself up over this issue. I have had to come to terms with it as a unavoidable situation.
