This is one of the early versions of my Indoor Bell piece. 
It has been used as a display item on my show tables, and since i now make them differently, Its time to let it go.
There are some scratches to the base, and the rods behind the flowers show a little rust. This is due to being stored in a unheated workshop, and should not get any worse indoors. The leaves are stainless steel so should never rust.

Each piece has been lacquered to protect the finish. The copper flowers have been heat treated to darken the copper then lacquered to preserve the finish.

Each piece also has a furniture protecting pad on the underside of the base.

Even though I do my very best to protect the steel from rusting with lacquer, this is only temporary. I have learned from many people  in the paint industry, that even with the best preparation, rust spots and lines will still form under clear coat lacquer. I beat myself up over this issue. I have had to come to terms with it as a unavoidable situation.
